THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF MIGUEL ANGEL OCASIO SOUTHINGTON - Miguel Angel Ocasio. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Miguel A. Ocasio of Southington, CT. at Midstate Medical Center on November 25, 2020, surrounded by his loved ones. Mr. Ocasio was born in Ponce PR. on August 23, 1960 to Miguel F. Ocasio- Martinez and Aida Ocasio- Rosado. Miguel could accomplish anything he set his mind to do. He accomplished his goal of attaining his Master of Social Work. He went on to work with catholic charities as a clinical social worker in the New Britain Community until his retirement. He enjoyed dancing salsa, spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren. Miguel is survived by his parents Miguel and Aida Ocasio, his wife Carmen Denise Ocasio, his children; Edwin Ocasio -Elizabeth ( wife), Nadine Ocasio- Parker, Abigail Ocasio-Casas -Carlos (husband), Elizabeth Array, Francesca Ocasio-Henry, Erica Ocasio-Perhay - Andrew (husband) and Herb Batista. Also, Miguel leaves behind fifteen granddaughters, one grandson, one great granddaughter, nephews and nieces. He is also survived by sisters Lillian Timothy-Scott (husband) and Elizabeth Martinez- Victor (Husband), brothers Jose, Richard Ocasio and mother-in-law Carmen Santiago. He was loved by many cousins, aunts, uncles, sisters and brothers-in-law and honorary children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Tomasa Vega-Martinez and Julio Ocasio, Emilio Rosado and Elena Luna-Rosado, and one grandson Sidney M. Parker IV. Funeral services for Mr Ocasio will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1987 East Main St Waterbury CT 06705. Burial will be held at the convenience of his family. Relatives and friends may participate in a walk-through visitation at the funeral home on Saturday from 4:00 till the service at 6:00 p.m. All guidelines in effect concerning COVID 19 will be strictly enforced. A funeral Service will be held Saturday 11/28/2020, To honor Miguel’s memory donations to Living Faith Christian Church 69 Prospect Rd Waterbury CT 06708 would be greatly appreciated.
