Dorothy F. Loper

Dorothy Flumerfelt-Loper, 83, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Wayne UNC Health Care. Born in Eaglegrove, Iowa on April 27, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Herschel Flumerfelt and Evelyn Sharp-Flumerfelt. Dorothy was dedicated to her Civil Service Housing Officer career with the United States Air Force. She loved to read, crochet, cook and quilting. She loved her family and enjoyed helping raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A service to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be held Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, 1300 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534. Pastor Andy Stovall will officiate. Dorothy is survived by her husband, TSgt. Donald Loper, USAF, Ret.; daughters, Deeann M. Loper and Donna L. Keim and husband, MSgt. Arlan Keim, USAF, Ret.; grandchildren, Jim Lunzmann (Sallie) and Nikki Mathe (TSgt. Joseph Mathe, USAF); great-grandchildren, Will Peters, Layden Mathe, Kalyn Mathe, Minden Mathe, Mary Helen Lunzmann, and Caroline Grace Lunzmann; a brother, Don Flumerfelt (Donna); and numerous nieces and nephews. Debra J. Loper, Dorothy's youngest daughter preceded her mother in passing in March of 2019.
