C R Towry, age 83, of Elora, passed away on November 24, 2020 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born in Lincoln County, TN on October 18, 1937. He was a veteran of the US Army and was a retired plumber. Mr. Towry enjoyed gardening, mowing the lawn and attending church at Fellowship First Baptist Church in New Market. He is preceded in death by his father: Isaac Towry; mother and step-father: Idora Gardner and Clarence West; first wife: Evelyn Simmons Towry; second wife: Myra Phyllis Towry; sister: Faye McKenzie; and brother: Clyde Graves. Mr. Towry is survived by his sons: Dwayne (Cindy) Towry of Winchester and Darryl (Tina) Towry of Huntland; grandsons: Daniel (Leah) Towry and Matthew (Lindsey) Towry; step-grandson: Camden Joshua Bryant; step-great grandchildren: Crystal Mearse and Jesse James Randolph; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Wendell Frazier and Bro. Malcolm Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
