Ford Martin Stewart Obituary

Ford Martin Stewart affectionally known by all family and friends as Pike was received by God on Monday November 23, 2020. Pike was born March 12, 1932 in Mayhew Town NC to the late Lula Mae Stewart.

At an early age Pike had an independent entrepreneurial spirit. He always valued hard work and doing things to the best of your ability. Pikes motto was “if you ever want to have anything you have to work for it”. Pike began working in 1969 at his own service station known as Pike’s Gulf.

Pike is proceeded in death by his five brothers, Ernestine Stewart, Courtney Stewart, Eugene Stewart, Ted Stewart, and L.P Stewart.

Pike is survived by his loving faithful wife of 64 years Bessie Ann Stewart of the home. He is survived by his five daughters Shari Kay Bell, Rhonda Stewart Wilson, Terry Stewart Wallace, Susan Stewart Spence, and Penny Lou Stewart. He is also survived by four grandchildren Karmekia Wilson, Janelle S. Kierstead, Christina Spence, and Joshua Spence. And seven great-grandchildren Alexis C. Easter, Ashton B Wilson, Karter Spence, Malachi Kierstead, Shelby Spence, Marley Brown, and Makayla Kierstead and two God-daughters Patricia Davis and Cynthia Davis Stewart. Pike is also loved by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
