Gwendolyn Marie Dix was born March 26, 1962, in Newellton, Louisiana to Frank and Katie Dix. Shortly after her birth, her parents relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. She graduated from Western High School, Class of 1980. Then she began her career in the hospitality industry working at some of the most prominent hotels on the Las Vegas strip. She retired a vested member of the Culinary Union. On April 16, 1994, she married Gary Dean Vaughn. They raised five sons and one daughter together. She was a great mother and an adored grandmother. Gwen attended Renaissance Church where she gained a passion for sharing the gospel. She was known for boldly witnessing to just about everyone she met. She truly enjoyed fine cuisines and culinary arts. In her pastime she dined out and hosted gatherings with her family. On Wednesday, November 25, 2020, Gwendolyn a devoted follower of Christ, loving wife and mother passed away at the age of 58 from colon cancer. Gwendolyn Marie Dix, your infectious laugh and smile will always remain in our hearts. You will truly be missed by your family and friends.
