Jeanette Anne Lauer
<p>Jeanette Lauer, 85 of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on November 22, 2020. Jeanette was born April 1, 1935 in Eveleth Minnesota to John and Katherine Kapovec. She relished growing up in the small town on the Iron Range riding in trains that her father engineered. Jeanette went to college at DePaul University in Chicago and received a bachelor’s degree in Education. She enjoyed teaching English to High School and Jr. High students. Jeanette met Donald and they married on March 3, 1962. They lived in Palatine, Illinois for 34 years. Jeanette and Donald enjoyed 56 years of marriage. They were blessed with 4 children and 8 grandchildren. Jeanette and Donald retired to Peoria Arizona in 1996. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 2018 and her daughter Carrie in 1966. She is survived by her children Susanne (Bill) of Peoria AZ, William of Sewickley PA, and Christina (John) of Mesa AZ, and 8 grandchildren, Emma, Christopher, Mia, Chloe, Kate, Benjamin, Anna and Matti. There will be a wake at Messinger-Indian School Mortuary in Scottsdale on Thursday, December 3, from 6-8 pm, and a funeral mass will be at the Franciscan Renewal Center in Scottsdale on December 4 at 10:30 AM (Arizona Time).
