Wilson "Buster"Major Deas Sr Obituary

Wilson ”Buster” Major Deas Sr.  was born on March 31, 1942 to the late Joseph and Lila Mae Wilson Deas.  On November 22, 2020, God called one of his angels home.

             Wilson attended Florence Public Schools.  Wilson began working with his brothers as a teenager in the construction business and became a brick mason and plaster craftsman.   As Wilson gain experience, he developed a strong work ethic and later started DEAS Construction.  He retired from DuPont and was a member of DuPont Fire Brigade.  He started numerous businesses and was a man of integrity and nobility. 

He loved reading his bible/daily bread, hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and watching his Westerns/Animal Channels/News.

 He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior during his younger years at Snowhill Baptist Church in Florence, SC.  As an adult he rededicated his life to the Lord and became a member of Peaceful Baptist Church in Timmonsville, SC.  where he was a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member and Boys Ministry Leader.  Later, he became a member of True Faith Ministry in Florence, SC where was a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher under the Leadership of Bishop Charles McDowell. 

Wilson is preceded in death by his parents (Joseph and Lila Mae Wilson Deas), his brothers (Eugene Deas, Reverend Joseph Deas, Edward Deas and Herbert Deas), his sister-n-law (Neil Deas).

Wilson leaves his cherished memorable moments to the Love of his Life, Married for 58 and ½  years, his wife, Eutelia Hunter Deas.  Children: Angela (Michael) Mace of Darlington, SC, Dewayne Moses of Florence, SC, Veronica Deas of Goosecreek, SC, Wilson Major (Brenda) Deas Jr. of Florence, SC, Sharisse (Robert Jr.) McKithen, of Florence, SC, and Shelanda Deas of  Florence, SC. Siblings: Alice D. Abraham of Philadelphia, PA, Annie D. Swinton of  Maryland, and Willie (Dorothy) Lyde of Darlington, SC.  Grandchildren: Darvion Deas of Florence, SC, Quaneisa Moses of  Florence, SC, and Charlene Moses of  Florence, SC. Reared as grand-children: Robert McKithen of  Goose Creek, SC, and Rakim McKithen of  Florence, SC.  3 great grandchildren.  In-Laws: Mable Deas of Washington, DC, Janie Mae Deas of Florence, SC , Agnes Deas of Florence, SC, Roscoe (Virginia) Hunter, Salisbury, NC, Argerine (Clyde) Bradford, Johnnie Mae (Herbert) Warren, Eva Mae (Evander) Davis, Lenolia (Andrew) Williams all of Florence, SC.  Special Daughter: Catherine Grant Crawford of Florence, SC.  Godchild: LaMarrea Grant-Snow of Florence, SC.  Barber: Teddy Anderson of Florence, SC.  Host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
