On Sunday, November 22, 2020, Jean Marie Brasher Degen, loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 82. She was born on April 23, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Mace and Fern Brasher. On May 1, 1957 she married Louis Degen in the Salt Lake Temple. They raised one daughter, Barbara, and two sons, Kevin and Scott. Jean loved to travel, do arts and crafts, square dancing, made many quilts, and she loved music. She shared her many talents with her family and friends. She is known for her compassionate heart and always opening her home with love and warmth. Jean is preceded in death by her father, Mace, her mother Fern, her husband Louis and her daughter Barbara Belliston. Survived by her brothers, Theo (Marge) and Mike, her sons, Kevin (Anna) and Scott, son-in-law Brad Belliston, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Meadows Ward, 5735 S. Fashion Blvd. Murray, Utah. Funeral is for close family members only and masks will be required. Interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, Utah
