Sharon Elizabeth Gerber, 72, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Golden Years Homestead. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Sharon was the daughter of the late Edwin and Margaret Sheets. Sharon graduated from Concordia High School class of 1966. Sharon worked for Lincoln Life, Fort Wayne Archery, Armstrong Flowers, prior to working for JC Penney for eight years prior to her retirement. She was a life long member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Sharon enjoyed arts and crafts, making wreaths, word puzzles, shopping, and going to look at the Christmas lights. She loved watching her grandchildren and helping with their homework. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Golden Years for their continued care of Sharon during her stay. They would also like to thank all the healthcare workers that cared for Sharon during her illness. Surviving are her husband, Daniel “Dan” Gerber; daughters, Amy (Matt) Sawyer, Rachel (Joseph) Murfield; grandchildren, Joshua (Micha) Murfield, Zachary Murfield, Allison Gerber; siblings, Fred Sheets, Jim (Ingrid) Sheets, and John (Tammy) Sheets. Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Ted Sheets. A Memorial Service is 1 pm, Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street with calling from 11 am until the services. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church.
