Patricia Ruth Rogers, 88, of Arkansas City, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at the Rock Regional Hospital in Derby. Cremation has been effected. A Celebration of Life has been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2020, at the Riverview Cemetery. Social distancing guidelines remain in affect and facial coverings are required. Patricia was born August 15, 1932, to Elmer and Thena (Baker) Leach in Neosho, MO. She grew up and attended schools in Arkansas City, graduating from Ark City High School in 1950. On April 10, 1955, she married Victor Rogers in McPherson, KS. The couple made their home in Perry, OK then in Arkansas City. Patricia worked as a CNA for the Arkansas City Memorial Hospital then the William Newton Hospital in Winfield for many years until her retirement. Patricia enjoyed knitting afghans, reading, playing solitaire, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her son Dennis Goans of Arkansas City, KS; step-daughter Ursla Jackson and husband Richard of Wichita, KS; grandson Danny Goans, granddaughter Terri Ostrander, brother Kenny Roberts, and numerous nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Victor, daughter Devra Rogers, three brothers Eugene, Bill, and Don Leach, and a sister Norma Walker.
