Grace Faye Brown

Grace Faye Brown, 87, of Lyons, passed away November 21, 2020 at Sterling Village, Sterling. She was born August 1, 1933, in Lyons, the daughter of Albert and Irene Adams Voss. Grace was a lifetime Lyons resident. She was a longtime employee of the former H&S Laundry of Lyons. Grace was a former member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary. On December 17, 1952, Grace was united in marriage with Robert E. Brown in Bentonville, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on January 4, 1990. She is also preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Bill Voss. Grace is survived by her three sons, Bob Brown and wife Vicki of Jasper, GA, Lee Brown and wife Karla of Wichita, KS, and Roger Brown and wife Rejena of Ft. Worth, TX; brother, Ralph Voss of Birmingham, AL; five sisters, Shirley Cheatum of Hutchinson, KS, Alice Sneath of Great Bend, KS, Marilyn Rodgers of Great Bend, KS, Betty Deutscher of Topeka, KS, and Joyce Elliott of Sterling, KS; six grandchildren, Luke Brown, Kelsi Smith, Lindsay Brown, Courtney Draper, Matthew Brown, and Nicole Brown; and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 2:30 P.M., Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons with Pastor Joel Grizzle officiating. Private family burial at Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until service time. Memorials may be given to Rice County Council on Aging in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
