Esther Ruth “Susie” Haskins, 71, of Oak Ridge, TN, died Monday, November 23, 2020 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was born November 24, 1948 in Morristown, TN. She was preceded in death by parents, Margie Helton and Gaines Stewart and her late husband, J. C. Haskins. Susie had a huge role in her grandchildren’s lives. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting. She also loved to shop and travel. She is survived by close grandchildren, Elena and Elijah Mercado and Elisha Haskins and great-grandchild, Isalo Mercado; brother, Stanley Stewart; sister, Marie Drinnon; daughters, Deb Jones, Whitney Yoes, LeeAnn Mercado, Lisa Muth and a host of other nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and close family and friends. The family asks that any memorials be in the form of contributions to the toys for Tots or the American Heart Association. Family and friends will meet for a graveside service on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 1:30pm at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Weatherford Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
