Michael G. Hallahan, 81, Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Sanford Health. Due to the current situation with Covid-19 memorial services and burial at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery will be held later. Cremation has taken place. Mike was born February 15, 1939, at Mandan, to Jacob and Matilda (Block) Hallahan. He attended grade school in Shields and Mandan and Mandan High School. He attended various colleges and earned his Bachelor’s Degree. Mike served in the US Air Force from 1956-1958. In 1966 he moved to Washington state and worked as a tool and die maker and tool design engineer. Through this work, he moved to several states–wherever they were building new aircraft and missiles. He was a member of the Moose, Eagles and AmVets. Mike enjoyed reading and doing word and number puzzles, but especially visiting with people (BSing at the bar). He is survived by one daughter, Janice (John) Lepinski, Buffalo, Minnesota; one son, Shawn Hallahan, Kirkland, Washington; stepchildren, Mike (Brenda) Lee, Puyallup, Washington, and Kim (Eric) Reisen, Gig Harbor, Washington; grandchildren, Silas Hallahan, Seattle, Washington, Matthew and Zach Stamey, Buffalo, Minnesota; step-grandchildren, Pat and Nick Rich, Scott Lee; and three great-grandchildren. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Ivy Hohbein and Lorna Raine; brother, Richard Hallahan; sister, Anna Mae Hohbein; and grandson Caleb Hallahan.
