On Monday, November 23, 2020, at the age of 94, dad went home to be with his Heavenly Father. He will also get to be with his wife, who he missed dearly.

Left to mourn his passing are his children: Anna (John) Giesbrecht of Rosengard and Edward (Sarah) Dueck of Grunthal; eight grandchildren: Roselyn (Dan) Bremaud, Jonathan Giesbrecht, Randy (Silvina) Dueck, Monika Dueck, Sandra (Levi) Peters, Jeffrey (Diana) Dueck, Gordon Dueck and Rosella Dueck (Ronald Hiebert); along with nine great-grandchildren.

Cornelius is survived by his siblings: Peter (Helena) Dueck of Steinbach, Heinrich Dueck of New Bothwell, Nettie (Ben) Toews of Steinbach, Diedrich (Annie) Dueck of Steinbach and Susana Klassen of Winnipeg; as well as two sisters-in-law in Paraguay: Annie Dueck and Helena Dueck plus two sisters-in-law in Manitoba: Susana Wall and Hildegard Olson. He is also survived by his wife's siblings: seven brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law and their spouses.

Cornelius was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Elisabeth Kehler Dueck in 2007, his parents Cornelius and Anna Dueck, along with his stepmom, two sisters, five brothers, one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law.

Dad was born on August 14, 1926 to Cornelius and Anna Harder Dueck in the Hanover Municipality in Manitoba. Dad along with his parents and siblings moved to East Paraguay in 1948. Later he then moved to Chaco Paraguay where he met the love of his life, Elisabeth Kehler. In 1966, they then made one more move back to Manitoba and resided in Niverville, where they raised their two children and made many memories.

Dad will be greatly missed, and those who knew him will carry the memories of him with them.
