Kathryn Yvonne Guthier
Kathryn Yvonne Guthier, 83, of Platte City, MO, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, MO. Kathryn was born on July 9, 1937 in Birmingham, AL to Otto Sidney and Marguerite Grace (Hulvey) Roberson. She married Jack Norman Guthier on September 13, 1958 in Birmingham, AL. During his time in the military, they lived all over the country before settling in Platte City in 1979. Kathryn was a very involved member of the First Baptist Church of Platte City, and loved to read and spend time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings Bob Roberson, Grady Roberson, Otto Roberson, D.D. Roberson, Betty Carter, Ann Barron, and Donna LeCroy; and daughter Jackie Mentel. Kathryn is survived by her children Craig Guthier, Danielle Eddings, William Guthier, and Jack (Gina) Guthier II; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 11 am at Platte City Cemetery, Platte City, MO. Masks and social distancing will be required. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to First Baptist Church of Platte City.July 9, 1937 - November 23, 202007/09/193711/23/2020
