THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF ROBERT CAREY. Loving Husband, Father, Son, and Brother TORRINGTON - Robert Carey, age 46 of Torrington, entered the gates of heaven peacefully on November 23rd, 2020 at Backus Hospital in Norwich, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Heather Carey. Robert was born in Waterbury CT on May 15th 1974, son of Carolyn "Honey" Carey and the late Richard C Carey Sr. Growing up in Oakville, and graduating from Watertown High School Rob went on to drive truck for many, many years most recently employed at RKJR Enterprises. Loving trucks as a child, he traveled with his Dad on Carey Trucking many times. When school was out "he was on a roll". Family was always the most precious to him. Camping, boating, and fishing with his girls was always on the top of his list. His favorite saying was "It is what it is". He loved life and lived it to the fullest. On many days there would be roses for Heather and Daisies for Mom just because, " It is what it is". would be his answer. Good weather or snow you would find him at the park with his girls. Rob is survived by the love of his life his wife, Heather and his daughters; Kate- Lynn and Ava who were the beat of his heart. In addition to his wife and children he is also survived by his Mom, Honey Carey of Oakville well as his brother, Rich and his wife, Karla also of Oakville. He was pre-deceased by his Dad, Richard Carey Sr, both of his Grandmothers; Edna Carey and Katherine Hurcombe and his Aunt, Kathy Cooke and his mother in law, Linda Mellon. In accordance with Robert’s personal wishes there will be no formal funeral services. On December 19th 2020, there will be a truck parade in memory of Rob. Email Jana Knight @ Rkjr379@yahoo.com.
