Barbara Carolyn Irelan, age 75, of Tecumseh, MI, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Cambrian Assisted Living. Born in Flint, MI on September 2, 1945, Barb was the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Cashin) Klasner. She was an active member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and worked as a registered nurse for 50 years, 47 of which spent in various positions at Herrick Hospital. Barb loved the water and the Great Lakes. She would routinely visit her family in the Keweenaw Peninsula, where she spent many summers as a child. Later in life she could be found wading in the water with her noodles on either Sand or Evans Lake. For those that knew Barb, her hugs were the best. She was able to instantly shine the spotlight and make anyone feel special, because Barb truly felt they were. She was the epitome of a selfless person. Along with her husband, Thomas Irelan, Barb is survived by her children, Katie (Mike) Walter of Tecumseh, MI and Casey (Brian Keefer) Irelan of Washington, D.C.; her sisters, Judy Colosi of Boston, MA and Sue Parker of Adrian, MI and also one grandson, Aspen Walter of Tecumseh, MI. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, Rodger Adams and her brothers, John and Bill Klasner. Visitation will be on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 10 am -11 am at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Tecumseh. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11 am with Fr. Daniel Wheeler as celebrant.
