Deanna Joy Thormann

Deanna Thormann was born July 19,1955 in Blue Island, IL. She died on November 23, 2020 at the age of 65 from complications from the Covid virus. Deanna was one of six children (five daughters and one son) raised by Hoyt and Evelyn Putnam. Hoyt, Evelyn, Jane and Greg preceded Deanna in death. Sisters Joan Van Clay, Sandi Degradi, and Debbie Heneghan are the remaining sisters. Deanna started working at RR Donnelley in Accounts Payable in 1974 in Chicago, IL Deanna worked either full or part time until 1984 at RR Donnelley. While she was working at RR Donnelley, she met her future husband Joe. They were married on May 7, 1977. Deanna was the proud mother of Ryan, Keith, Lauren, and Neil and grandmother of Isaiah, Luke, Isabel, Lydia, and Zachariah. Her children and grandchildren were a source of great pride and pleasure. Her children were the main priority in her life. She loved buying Christmas and birthday presents for all the children. Deanna also loved her pets. She has brought 3 dogs and one kitten to the Thormann household in recent years. Deanna enjoyed bowling and was in several leagues. As her children grew older, you would find Deanna at baseball games, football games and softball games cheering loudly for her children’s team. Deanna enjoyed making the holiday seasons festive with her great meals and desserts. Deanna also enjoyed reading and has enough books to start a small bookstore. Her family and friends would describe her as feisty, stubborn, tenacious, heart of gold, loyal, welcoming, undaunted and selfless. Deanna has been loved and will be missed by many.
