Kurt William Pahl Obituary

Kurt W. Pahl
July 31, 1956 - November 23, 2020 Age 64

Kurt was born to Donald and Beverly Pahl, whom precede him in death.  He was the 3 child born to them of 5 children total.  He is survived by Steven Pahl, Debra Coleman, Fred Pahl and Merilee Kautz.  Kurt had a normal childhood, he played with his brothers and friends in the field.  Kurt enjoyed hunting and fishing with his Father.  Dad and Kurt were both excellent marksman.  Kurt was a beautiful child and a handsome man (and he knew it!). He was a lover, a charmer and a loving son.

Kurt served proudly in the United States Marine Corp.  His was his passion, he wanted to be a lifetime Marine.  He served in Okinawa, Japan.  After his return to the United States while on base at Camp Pendelton, Kurt was involved in an auto accident.  This accident took so much from Kurt, but it left behind is loving spirit.  Those first years after the accident were very hard for our parents and Debra.  The three of them nursed him back to life.  My parents were committed to get the very best they could for Kurt.  Kurt travel to Hawaii and Reno with mom and dad.  Kurt went deer hunting and fishing with my dad they enjoyed each other company.

Kurt when on to live at Windsor Place in Salem Oregon.  This is a care home that has all head injury residence.  The care he received there was excellent.  He was happy there.  Fred, Kurts caregiver was a very good friend to him.  For the most part Kurt was heathy and happy.  His head injury froze him at the age of 19 with a happy go lucky nature.

And then… Covid.
We will never be the same.  We wish him peace on this new journey.
We know you are made whole again and with those who loved you most.
God’s speed, Our loving angel until we meet again.
