Rachel Mae Green, 53, of Oak Ridge passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. She was born February 5, 1967 in Oak Ridge, the daughter of Alfred Walker and Ruby Ann Roberson. Ms. Green was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she also worked with the youth of the church. She loved singing, greatly enjoyed being around people and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching plays and going to the theater. She was very headstrong, independent, and tough, but very kind. Preceded in death by her father Alfred Walker; Sister, Cassandra Walker. She is survived by sons, Merv Conley Rodgers Jr. and D. J. Green both of Clinton, TN; Mother, Ruby Ann Roberson and Grandmother, Lorrine Rowland, both of Oak Ridge, TN; 14 siblings, Tina Howard of Oak Ridge, TN; Kevin (Jessica) Green of Powell, TN; Sheri Robinson of Atlanta, GA and Priscilla Roberson of Birmingham, AL Debbie and Gary Scruggs, Gail Chesney, Alfred Jones, David Chesney, Brian Turner, Camisa Walker, Tasha Fernandez, Andrea Harmon, Adreanne and James Currie; Aunts, Hattie Walker of Cleveland, OH; Miranda Hill of Birmingham, AL; Virginia (Tyrone) Albert of Atlanta, GA; uncles, Tyrone (Kemesa) Wells of Knoxville, Jimmie Wells of Knoxville, Philip (Zina) Wells of Oak Ridge and Anderson (Joyce) Wells Oak Ridge, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Special Friends Inman Wells Jr. and Merv Conley Rodgers Sr. Family and friends will meet on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 10:00am at Branch Hill Memorial Cemetery on George Light Road for a graveside service.
