Diane Mack

Diane Louise Mack was born on November 22, 1944, to the late Robert Lee Gory & Jimmie Lee Gory. Diane was born and raised in Newark, NJ, where she attended South 8th Street Elementary school, where she completed 8th grade. She then went on to attend Robert Treat for her 9th-grade year then continued her education at Westside High School, where she received her High school diploma. After receiving her high school diploma, she gained her independence by securing employment at A&P Bakery. Soon after finding employment, Diane found her true love, Clarence Mack. The two fell in love and started their family by having two beautiful girls, Dawn Mack and Tracy Mack-Obafemi. After losing her husband in 1991, Diane became the Matriarch and caretaker of her family. She enjoyed entertaining and taking care of her Nieces, Nephews, Grands, and great Niece and Great Nephew. She enjoyed caring for others so much that she began her journey as a Home Health Aide. However, she didn’t stop at being a Home Health Aide. She later became a Certified Nursing Assistant and gained employment at Parkway Manor in 1991-2003, where she had to suddenly end her career due to her becoming ill. Left to cherish precious memories: Her Devoted two Daughters Dawn Mack, Tracy Mack-Obafemi (Aj), Step- Daughter Kym Gilmore, God Daughters Kia Lewis, Maxine Jefferson, Her 8 Grandchildren Yaasyin Mack (Shante), Moet Mack (Lamar), Ansar Mack (Verdell), Abiodun (Wole) Obafemi, Tanirah Brown, Breille Lewis, Arielle Lewis. 10 Great Grands Asiya, Na’kiyah, Ke’lahni, Nazira, Thorne, Ansar Jr., Khyre, Jamir, Omere, and Yaazirah. Special nieces Tiffany Douglas, Mary Rowson, Nicole Clark (Tj), Stacy Rogers (Cedric), Special Nephews Steven Douglas, Leroy Williams & a host of other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death is her parents Robert & Jimmie Lee Gory, her only sister Carolyn Douglas, Nieces Denise Williams, Diane Douglas, Nephews Debin Douglas and Todd Douglas, and 1 grandson Lamar Brown.
