ROCKVILLE- Robert E. Lohrmann, 97, of Rockville, Indiana passed away at 11:15 am Tuesday, November 24, 2020 in his residence. He was the retired owner of Lohrmann Jewelers in Rockville from 1955 to 1985. He was born February 6, 1923 in Hillsdale, Indiana to the late James and Hazel Lohrmann. His wife of 75 years, Mary Louise Russell Lohrmann, whom he married March 27, 1943 in Hillsdale preceded him in death on June 22, 2018. Survivors include two sons, Greg (Tisha) Lohrmann of Rockville and John (Sharon) Lohrmann of Sisters, Oregon; one brother, Mike Lohrmann of Brazil; two sisters, Bonnie Watts of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and Donna Sears of Clinton; three grandchildren, Ehren (Niki) Lohrmann, Shannon (Paul) Beczkiewicz and Becky Sinclair; four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister and 8 brothers. He was a graduate of Hillsdale High School and Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. He served in the United States Navy. He was president of the Watch Makers Association and enjoyed wood carving. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Monday, November 30 at Helts Prairie Cemetery in Hillsdale with Kevin Jacks officiating. Burial will follow with Military honors by Parke County Veterans.
