Delores M. Johnson, 90, Rugby, ND, formerly of Minot, ND, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020, at Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby.  Delores was born February 25, 1930, the daughter of Paul H. and Anna M. (Kriedeman) Knuth, in Drake, ND.     Delores attended 8 years of country school in Lake George Township, McHenry County. In 1944 after attending 1 year of high school at Drake Delores moved with her parents to Minot. She graduated from Minot High School in 1947.  Delores was a charter member of Evangelical United Brethren Church where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible school, Boys and Girls Fellowship, and was a member of the Women’s Society.  Delores was a Faith United Methodist Soup Kitchen Volunteer and she loved to garden. She was a successful competitor in the North Dakota State Fair and International Peace Garden Flower Shows.  Delores was employed by Ellison’s Department Store, Coast to Coast, Newberry’s Department Store and Minot Public School Lunch Program.  Delores married Allen D. Johnson May 7, 1950, at Zion Lutheran Church in Minot, ND. They made their home in Minot, where they raised their four children, Paul Edward, Sharon Ann, Patricia Gail, and Holly Rose.  Surviving family includes:  son, Paul Edward Johnson, Pierre, SD; daughters, Sharon Ann Harmel, Knox, ND, Patricia Gail Gillis and her husband John, Sperry, OK, Holly Rose Mawby and her husband, Barry, Esmond, ND; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer (Anthony) Jensen, Brian (Amy) Johnson, Jeffrey (Crista) Johnson, Joshua (Jessica) Peterschick, Phillip (Carly) Peterschick, David Peterschick, Amy Peterschick, Shana (Adam) Valenta, Kristopher (Kerri) Gillis, and Adam (Apryl) Mawby; and 18 great-grandchildren. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Paul H. and Anna M. Knuth; her husband, Allen D. Johnson; and her great-grandchild, Jordis Hunter Peterschick. Celebrating the Life of Delores:Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, A Private Family Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 28, 2020, at 11:00 am at Vincent United Methodist Church in Minot ND. Burial to follow at Rosehill Memorial Park. Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, please observe social distancing. Visitation:  A private family viewing will take place at Vincent United Methodist Church in Minot ND.
