William Lee McRoberts Obituary

William Lee McRoberts, 60, of North Vernon, passed away at 9:36 p.m. on Sunday, November 22, 2020, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.

 

Born April 30, 1960, in Greensburg, he was the son of the late William Hubert and Lula Belle (Graham) McRoberts. He married Stacey (Hendrix) McRoberts on October 2, 1999, at Rush Branch Church in Jennings County; she survives.

 

William served in the U.S. Army and had worked at NVIC for several years. He was a former Cub Scout leader and a former Boy Scout volunteer. He enjoyed fishing and collecting old cars.

 

He is survived by his wife; sons, Dillon McRoberts, Adam (Lora) McRoberts, and Issac Hopkins, all of North Vernon; brothers, Willie (Amy) McRoberts of Dupont, Mike DeHart of Florida, and Tim Moore of North Vernon; sisters, Melody (Ron) Estes of North Vernon and Tammy (Junior) Mahoney of Zenas; and grandchildren, Krystal Johnson, Tara Johnson, Liam McRoberts, and Tirzah Nogueras, all of North Vernon, and Kylan Brogan of Columbus.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jerry “Andy” Johnson.

 

In keeping with his family’s wishes, cremation is planned, with no services to be held at this time. Burial will be in the Zenas Cemetery. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon were entrusted to the care of these arrangements.

 

Memorials may be made through the funeral home in honor of William to help with expenses.
