Toby Hatsfelt Jr. February 28, 1938 – November 15, 2020 On Sunday, November, 15, 2020, Louis Edward “Toby” Hatsfelt passed away at the age of 82. Toby was born on February, 28, 1938 in Oakdale, LA to Edward and Lorraine Hatsfelt. He graduated from McNeese State College. He married his wife Marian on January 27, 1962. Toby served in the United States Army with a rank of Major and was a Vietnam Veteran and a recipient of 2 Bronze Star Medals. After retiring from the Army, he worked as a civilian for the Department of Defense as a computer specialist for more than 30 years. Upon retiring from civil service, Toby worked as a contractor for Anteon Corp. Toby loved and cared for his family and served his friends however he could. He was an avid golfer and a dedicated member of the Sanctuary Choir at First Baptist Church, Pensacola, FL for 30 years. He served faithfully with the Samaritan Hands Ministry and FBCP’s Backpack program for students at C.A. Weiss Elementary School. He and Marian were members of the Gulf Coast Gophers Camping Club. Toby was a great storyteller. He was most known for his pride in his family, his technological savvy, and his honesty and integrity. Toby is survived by his wife, Marian; his children, Jessica (Channing) Everett, Michael (Kristy) Hatsfelt, Dee Dee (Michael) Westbrook; his nephew Matthew Maillian; his grandchildren Wesley, Savannah, and Christopher Hatsfelt, Lenora Rose Westbrook, and Channing Everett II; and family and loved ones in Lake Charles, LA. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Trahan Family Funeral Home, 60 Industrial Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32503 at 1:00 pm. There will be a visitation with family beginning at 11:30 am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 2:30 pm. We kindly request that masks are worn and social distancing is observed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Music Ministry of First Baptist Church Pensacola, 500 N Palafox Street, Pensacola, FL 32501
