<p><strong>Earnestine Lomax</strong>, 86, of Moline, passed away Sunday November 22, 2020 at St. Anthony’s Care Center, Rock Island.</p> <p><strong>There will be a live-streamed private funeral broadcast at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 27, and may be viewed at wheelanpressly.com/live-stream. Private burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., is assisting the family with arrangements.</strong></p> <p>Earnestine was born December 28, 1933 in Elkton, Kentucky, a daughter of Robert and Pearline Jefferson Edwards. She married Walter William Lomax, Sr. on June 7, 1975 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on September 19, 1992.</p> <p>She loved fishing, watching westerns on tv, and cooking for family and friends.</p> <p>Surviving are her children, Maude Lomax Anderson, Hayward, Calif., Patricia Ann Simmons, Rock Island, Franklin Lomax, Rock Island, Arthur Lomax, Moline, Darlene Lomax, Moline, Darnell Lomax, of Rock Island, and their families; and a host of nieces, nephews, and additional family.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Walter Lomax, Jr.; and sister, Melvine Edmonds.</p>Obituary
