Christine Mary Torrie

Christine Mary Torrie "Bunny", 73, of Downingtown, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Joseph W. Torrie, Sr., with whom she shared 53 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Rita Morello LaPreste.

Christine loved spending quality time with her family.   She was loved by her many nieces and nephews.  She also enjoyed going to the beach and going to the casinos.  She helped run Joe Torrie and Sons Appliance with her husband and son.

In addition to her husband, Christine is survived by her children, Joseph Torrie, Jr. and his wife Dina and Christina Torrey and her husband Brian.  She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Clipp and her husband Roger, Charlene LaPreste and Darlene Boose and her husband James.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 332 Manor Avenue, Downingtown.  Family and friends will be received from 9:45-10:15 a.m.

Interment will follow at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
