Peggy Ross (71) of Nampa, ID was promoted to glory on November 21, 2020. Alongside her husband, James, Peggy spent her life in ministry and service to her community. As a Salvation Army officer, she served many communities while working with youth and women, planning and leading worship services, coordinating Christmas distribution to families that needed a little boost, visiting residents of nursing homes, and doing ministry and administrative work in both an adult rehab center and a senior residence. She coordinated many events for the local corps and could make a banquet out of canned ham and canned vegetables. She especially enjoyed the music ministry of The Salvation Army as she played the alto horn in bands, joined timbrel brigades, sang in many songsters groups, and belted out numerous solos. Peggy had a heart of gold and made an impact wherever she went.
As a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Peggy ministered well to her family. She was a godly woman that taught her family to put Jesus and others first. She showed us that serving others was an extension of our faith. She was our biggest cheerleader and our fiercest ally; she rarely missed a game, concert, or other event in our lives. She was a very vocal sports spectator, often yelling at the referees, even if she didn’t personally know anyone that was playing. She loved to play board and card games with her family, often becoming very invested in the outcome.
Peggy is survived by her husband, a brother and sister, 5 children and their spouses, 15 grandchildren (two spouses as well), and 2 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother. Her legacy of faith will continue for many years to come. She is with her Savior and in perfect health. Well done...
