Wayne Lee Thornton Obituary

Wayne Lee Thornton, 50, of Provo passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 19, 2020 after battling a short illness. He was born April 3rd, 1970 to Hal J and Mary Alice Thornton of Pleasant Grove in the American Fork Hospital. He was the sixth of six children. He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1988 and attended classes in Provo at the old Trade Tech. Wayne had a love for music, cars and the outdoors. He was in heaven while driving his truck and listening to hard rock in American Fork Canyon.

He loved and celebrated the holiday season with those who meant the most to him. He was the master at making holiday noodles for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. His legend will live on for many generations of come.

He was proceeded in death by his mother, Mary Alice Thornton, father, Hal J Thornton, and brother Craig Garn. He is survived by his daughter Brittney (Dez) Thornton, daughter Breanna (Nate) Walters, and his son Austin Thornton along with 4 other siblings.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.  Due to Covid 19 restrictions masks and social distancing are required. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com.
