Robert (Bob) J. Teolis Kelowna, British Columbia Obituary

Robert (Bob) J. Teolis

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, and grandfather (Papa), brother, brother-in-law, and uncle. Bob passed away peacefully on November 19, 2020, at the Kelowna General Hospital with the loving arms of his family around him. He will be lovingly remembered but terribly missed by his wife and best friend Debbie; son Adam (Marcella), daughters Gina (Jamie) and Erin (Chris); stepdaughters Belinda (Gary), Corinna and Melissa; grandchildren Cheyenne, Colby, Jaxson, Hope, Sawyer, Emmett and Brody; brother Paul (Kim), sister Joanne; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends. Bob was predeceased by his parents Albert and Olive Teolis, sister Suzanne, brother Stephen, sister-in-law Grace, brother-in-law Wayne, Father-in-law Doug, Mother-in-law Paulene, son-in-law Chris, and niece Tiffany. Born in Montreal, Bob had a childhood filled with much love and countless adventures being part of a large Italian family. He received all of his formal schoolings there and Montreal is where he began his life long career in law enforcement – a career that spanned over 35 years. Leaving Montreal in his twenties, Bob went on to police postings in Jasper, Edmonton, Terrace, and Calgary. Early retirement began in 2007 which lasted about three months when he soon learned he couldn’t be idle. This led to his post- retirement career of school bus driver where he developed friendships that would last the rest of his life. In 2018 Bob retired officially and although short lived, days were filled with travel, lots of new recipe trials for the chef of the family, time to develop painting skills and fun times spent with family and friends. At Bob’s request, there will be no formal service, but family and close friends will be invited to join us in a celebration of life in 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.caortothecharity or to the charity of choice.
