Brenda Lee Shriver

Brenda Lee Shriver, 72, of Weston, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston. She was born in Burnsville on November 22, 1948, a daughter of the late Jahew Cayton and Oria Mae Skinner Cayton. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by four siblings: Linda Carol, Luther, Ferrell, and Tom Cayton. Brenda married Stephen “Squeek” Ellis Shriver on April 8, 1978. Together they shared 31 years of marriage before his passing on July 16, 2009. Forever cherishing their memories of Brenda are three children: Rick Kincaid and companion, Michelle Jamison, of Horner, Kathy Fealy and companion, Greg Miller, of Weston, and Stephen Shriver II and wife, Sean, of Weston; six grandchildren: Jeremy, Chris, and Ricky Kincaid, Courtney Terranova and husband, Alan, Brianna Alderson and husband, Zach, and Emily Shriver; five great-grandchildren: Zander, Logan, Scarlett, Alexis, and Callan; seven siblings: Steve Cayton and companion, Sarah, Betty Kemper and husband, Larry, Sandy Brown and husband, Jim, Janice Cayton, Bernice Edgerton and husband, Jim, John Cayton companion, Maxine, and Bobby Cayton; one sister-in-law, Karen Cayton; close friend who she considered her adopted son, Gerald Gregory and wife, Alicia; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Brenda founded Shriver Trucking in 1974 with her husband, Squeek. She later graduated from Glenville State College where she majored in Accounting and Business. Brenda was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church in Weston and Jekyll Island United Methodist Church in Georgia. She was very faithful and enjoyed listening to her Bible on audio CDs. With her fantastic memory, Brenda was always sending birthday cards to everyone she knew. She also loved bargain shopping at Belk and Elder-Beerman. More than anything Brenda cherished her time spent with her grandchildren. She had a very giving nature and will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the ALS Association. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 29, 2020 in the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Russell Furr officiating.
