Floy A. Smith

<p>Floy Alice Smith (Klinginsmith) was born November 5, 1924 to Irl and Ora Klinginsmith.&nbsp;&nbsp; She married George Smith, Jr. on July 9, 1949.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;After being a longtime Shawnee, KS resident, she spent her last eight years at Rosewood Place in Lenexa where she made many wonderful friends. Throughout her career Floy worked full-time as an executive assistant and yet still found time to be actively involved in many ministries at Antioch Hills Baptist Church and Overland Park Baptist Church.&nbsp; She also attended Merriam Christian Church for a time.&nbsp; Floy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sewing, quilting, crocheting.&nbsp; reading, coloring, and doing word and jigsaw puzzles.</p> <p>Floy went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 22, 2020.&nbsp; She was proceeded in death by George, her husband of 64 years. She leaves behind her son Gary and wife Pat; daughter Catherine and husband Russ; Grandchildren: Stephanie, Jennifer, Courtney, Ryan and wife Somer, Caleb and wife Katie and great grandchildren Sydney, Samantha, Aidan and Andrew; brother Harry Klinginsmith and wife Evelyn, along with many nieces and nephews.&nbsp; She will be missed by her family and her friends.</p> <p>For those desiring to honor Floy in lieu of flowers, a donation to Bethel Neighborhood Center &nbsp;is suggested&ndash; a place where Floy used to donate her time to.&nbsp; See&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; https://www.bethelcenter.org for more info.</p>

Floy Alice Smith (Klinginsmith) was born November 5, 1924 to Irl and Ora Klinginsmith.   She married George Smith, Jr. on July 9, 1949. 

 After being a longtime Shawnee, KS resident, she spent her last eight years at Rosewood Place in Lenexa where she made many wonderful friends.
