Gloria “Tinker” Burks Harris died November 22, 2020, in Longview, Texas. She was 75.

Mrs. Harris was born on April 17, 1945 in Longview, Tx to her parents, Archie and Elsie Burks. Mrs. Harris married Teddy Harris in 1962 and had three children, Chris, Kevin and Stacie. She graduated from Kilgore College with a degree in Associate of Applied Science as a Registered Nurse.  Mrs. Harris worked as a case manager at Good Shepherd Medical Center then moved on to Director of Nursing in several nursing homes around east Texas before retiring. Mrs. Harris lived in Longview “Spring Hill” her entire life and raised three children. She loved to spend time with all her grandchildren, watch wheel of fortune and jeaporday and go to the casinos in Las Vegas and Louisiana.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her daughter Stacie Harris of Longview, grandchildren, Gillian Martin and Kyle Harris, Joshua and Brandi Harris, Skye Parr, and Zen Estrella all of Longview.  Brother: David and Pat Burks Longview, Gerald and Tina Burks of Hallsville, sisters: Linda and Clay Parker of Carthage, Tx, Debbie Ballard and Larry Castleberry of Longview and Judy Faggett of Longview along with several nieces’ nephews and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Teddy; her sons, Chris and Kevin Harris. Father, Archie Burks, Mother, Elsie Nichols and brother Randy Nichols.

Services for Mrs. Harris will be Friday November 27, 2020 with visitation at 9am and service immediately following at 10am at East Texas Funeral Home in Longview. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mrs. Harris’s life. Pallbearers will be, Kyle Harris, Joshua Harris, Zen Estrella, Chris Parr and Michael Estrella
