Dorothy “Dot” Imogene Shewbridge passed away November 22, 2020 at home with her family. Born February 8, 1930 in Ridgeley, WV she later moved to Cumberland, MD where she spent most of her life. More recently, she resided in South Carolina with her grandson and family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Robert “Bob” Shewbridge; daughter Sandra “Sandi” Bradley; her parents John and Mabel (Lease) Hager; and, all of her siblings. She leaves behind 3 grandsons Travis Bradley and wife Nichole, Short Gap, WV, Trevor Bradley and wife Kayla, Travelers Rest, SC and Trent Bradley, Short Gap, WV; six great grandchildren Layna, Landen, Aiden, Maggie, Ava, and Alyza; and, many nieces and nephews. “Dot” was a homemaker and started caring for her family at a young age after losing her mother. She carried this duty with great pride throughout her life and always put her family first. While loving her family fiercely, she also had a love for bingo, bowling and baking cakes. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation at Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., Cumberland, on Sunday from 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Shrine of SS. Peter & Paul on Monday at 10 AM. Interment will be in MSVC Rocky Gap.
