Kenneth McCall Obituary

Kenneth McCall 1942-2020 Kenneth McCall gained his angel wings on November 20, 2020, at the age of 77 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Affectionately called “Papa Huncha,” Ken was a gifted appraiser, a loving husband and a devoted father. He will be sorely missed and has left an impression on all those who knew and loved him. Ken (“Kenny”) was born in Washington D.C. and pursued early career endeavors there in the 60s, working for the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the United States Post Office. He was gifted in map skills and real estate, which parlayed into obtaining coveted VA real estate appraiser and broker credentials. He settled in New Smyrna Beach, FL, in the early 1970s and remained there for nearly 50 years before moving to Ft. Lauderdale. He has lived in Virginia, Kentucky, and Florida. In 1992, he married his beautiful bride, Marina. They had a loving relationship for 27 years. She was undying in her dedication and devotion in caring for him. “Huncha” enjoyed bike rides around New Smyrna Beach, healthy living, day drives, lengthy political discussions, jogging, and fishing. Ken had a wonderful sense of humor which is the source of many family stories passed down through the years. Ken is preceded in death by his Mother, Miriam Anderson, his Father, Milford McCall, his grandparents, Louis and Evelyn Palty, his stepmother, Mabel McCall and his brother, Michael Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Marina McCall, his children, Margie Larive, Adele Bernice McCall, Brett McCall, Olga Wydner, and his grandchildren, Noah Larive and Karina Wydner. He is also survived by his sisters, Lynette McCall and Sylvia McCall, and many friends along the way. He also has several fur babies greeting him at the bridge upon his passing. We would like to thank Seasons Hospice for providing excellent care during his final days. Funeral arrangements are provided by Barbara Falowski Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Because of COVID-19, a private family graveside ceremony will take place at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL. In lieu of flowers you may contribute to the Alzheimer’s Association. Alzheimer’s may have claimed Ken’s body, but it will never claim his soul. Ken is singing with the angels now and enjoying a rerun or two of Star Trek. __________________________________________________________________________
