Josephine C. Aniciete Obituary

Josephine C. Aniciete, was born on December 10, 1956, in Manila, Philippines to Antonio and Lilia (Angeles) Chua. On Sunday, November 22, 2020, Josephine, passed away at age 63. She enjoyed life from the very beginning and accomplished many milestones. She received her BSN from the University of Santo Tomas in 1979 and dedicated her professional career nearly 36 years as a nurse at Palisades Medical Center.

Since 1985, she was a beloved wife of Geminiano. A cherished Parishioner at St. Mary’s in Dumont, NJ for 30 years. A loving mother of Joanna Marie and her husband, Kenneth Wise, Jemilyn, and Jeremy. Dear sister of Jean. Devoted daughter of Lilia. Adored cousin, aunt, sister-in-law, friend, and coworker to many. Predeceased by her father, Antonio, sister, Jeanette, and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Delos Reyes.

Josephine loved spending time in the kitchen, cooking delicious meals for her family, friends, and coworkers. She enjoyed hosting dinners, holidays, and birthday parties. Last December, she graciously embraced the beginning of her retirement life, where she welcomed and adored her Maltipoo, Daisy, to the family.  Retiring also granted her more time to relax and travel with her husband. Traveling was a huge passion of hers, most specifically cruising to other countries and islands. She could not wait for this pandemic to be over, so she could continue venturing on a cruise ship. She was known for her sweet personality, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit. She was incredibly generous to all the people she encountered.

Josephine will be inconceivably missed. Visitation is scheduled for 3PM-5PM and 6PM-9PM  on November 27, 2020, and 8AM-9AM on November 28, 2020 at the Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield. Funeral mass is scheduled for 9:30AM on November 28, 2020 at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Dumont. Interment will be held at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, following the funeral mass
