On November 19, 2020 Mary Sanderson peacefully passed away at Jordan Valley Medical Center, West Jordan, Utah with her husband Philip Sanderson and her sister Cheryl Hampton at her side.  Mary had been suffering from Alzheimers and kidney related illness for some time and passed due to complications.  She was cremated here and will be interred in Kansas City Missouri in a Peters family plot next to her parents.

Mary was the 3rd of 7 children born December 14, 1939, to Otto Clark Peters and Mary Ellen DeLoris Peters. She grew up in Kansas City and moved to California in the late 1950s where she became a pioneer of women entering the technology field.  She was a senior IT manager for several companies in California before her career took her to the Seattle area where she joined Microsoft until her retirement.  She was an avid sailor, talented fiber artist and quilter who's love of travel took her many places around the world traveling with both family and friends.

Mary married Phil November 1st, 2008 and moved to his home town of Bingham Canyon, Utah where his family and friends warmly welcomed Mary into their community.  She was a sweet wonderful person, loved by many and will be dearly missed.
