Cremation has taken place & there will be no service at this time. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darlene Cheryl Yaremko, who passed away at home, in the early morning of November 21, 2020 at the age of 64 years old. Darlene was born on September 15, 1956 at the Theodore hospital. She was the daughter of John Milne Robb and Helen Robb. Darlene attended Simpson School during her elementary years and the Yorkton Regional High School. Darlene received her LPN training in Saskatoon after high school and continued to work for the Sunrise Health Region until she retired in 2016. On September 10, 1988 she was united in marriage to Robert Yaremko at St. Andrew’s Church in Yorkton. Blessed with two daughters who were Darlene’s pride and joy, she resided mainly on the family acreage outside of Yorkton. Darlene loved spending time at Good Spirit Lake where she enjoyed camping and time at the cabin, fishing, boating, reading, soaking up the sun on the beach, and cooking delicious meals for her family. Darlene had a strong fondness for nature and all animals. Over the years, she volunteered for various organizations that her daughters were involved with, including Yorkton Kalyna Ukrainian Dance and Girl Guides. She delighted in planning for holiday meals where her large meals were enjoyed by all. Darlene always looked forward to going out with family and friends for lunch and supper dates when her health was permitting and she was feeling up to it. While out and about, her warm smile and welcoming nature drew in friends and strangers alike, who she’d be sure to stop and have a conversation. Darlene loved spending time on social media to stay connected with family and friends, especially as her health quickly declined over the last few years. Darlene is survived by her husband of 32 years, Robert, two children, Jacilyn (Jarett) and Kelsy (Arion), one grandson, Aleksei, mother-in-law, Isabel Turchuk, numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends. Darlene is predeceased by her parents, John and Helen Robb (nee Cherney), and father-in-law, Gerry Turchuk.
