Julie Lynn Heegard

Julie Hansen Heegard passed away at the age of 38, on November 18, 2020 in Cottage Grove, Oregon. Julie was born at McKenzie Willamette Hospital June 29, 1982 in Springfield, Oregon. She started school at 5 C’s in Creswell, attending Delight Valley, Lincoln Jr. High and graduated from Cottage Grove with the class of 1999. Julie Moved to Seattle after high school to attend the Art Institute. She soon discovered she wanted to be a Hairdresser. She received her training at Springfield College of Beauty, and she found her passion. Julie currently worked at Salon 7 in Cottage Grove, and One Stop Hair Shop in Springfield. She married Darin Heegard during the summer of 2003, and they later divorced. Julie loved helping with her Kids activities and attending their sporting events and music programs. Being a mom was her proudest accomplishment. She played guitar and enjoyed live concerts. The song “Sweet Child of Mine” will forever bring memories of her. Julie was an avid Oregon Ducks fan, enjoyed trips to the Oregon coast, annual ice fishing trips with her dad and family trips to Disneyland. She also smoked the best fish, and her grasshopper pie was awesome. She had a wonderful quirky sense of humor and a tender heart. Julie is survived by her children Everett and Nora of Cottage Grove, OR; parents Diane and Brian Hansen of Cottage Grove, OR; sister Heidi (Jason) Baker and nephew AJ of Roseburg, OR; grandmother Kathy Dickinson of Leaburg, OR; mother in law Lilli Fisher of Cottage Grove, OR. She is preceded in death by grandparents Wesley and Mary Hansen; grandfather Louie Dickinson; cousin Jesse Smith and Aunt Debbie Hansen. Julie leaves behind a wonderful family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. So our precious Julie, Julio, JuJubee, Jules, Aunt Juwee and Momma…” You will always be loved, never forgotten and forever missed.” There will be a private celebration of life. Donations in Memory of Julie may be made to Bohemia Elementary School. She loved working with kids and staff. Arrangements are in the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel, Cottage Grove, OR.
