Michael Gideon was born to Chester and Charlotte Gideon on May 22, 1962.  He died on November 23, 2020 at the Golden Age Care Center after an extended illness. 

Michael, due to disabilities was cared for by Glenwood State Hospital School for his entire childhood, then subsequently moved to the Appanoose County Home.  Michael met his new and permanent family at the Zylpha Price Group Home in 1987.  There, he was loved by his peers and the people who worked with him until May, 2020.

Michael did not attend formal schooling because of his disability, but did teach people the meaning of genuine love.  Michael had great joy in his heart for all things musical, trains, puzzles, and people. 

Michael does not have a biological family, but until his recent illness, has lived with the same group of individuals, Dorothy, Mary, Connie, and Phillip, and special caretaker, Clara, that survive him. 

He is proceeded in death by his father and a younger brother.
