<p><br /> Jane Leona Lema, 88, of Jackson, Mo., formerly of Scopus, Mo., died Nov. 23, 2020, at the Monticello House in Jackson.&nbsp; Born on Nov. 15, 1932, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Harold B. and Catherine Savin Carter.&nbsp; She married Edward Joseph Lema on May 31, 1952, in Milwaukee, Wis.&nbsp; She and Ed lived in Pennsylvania, Utah, Illinois, Mississippi, and Missouri while he worked as an explosives engineer.&nbsp; He predeceased her on Jan. 10, 2009<br /> She was an accomplished self-employed cake decorator, and enjoyed ballroom dance, country western dance, and landscape oil painting.&nbsp; She was a member of the Scopus United Methodist Church.<br /> She is survived by a son, Patrick (Angie) Lema of Whitewater, Mo.; a sister, Kathleen Runte of Milwaukee; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.&nbsp; A son, Douglas Lema; a daughter, Holly Young; a brother, James H. Carter; and a sister, Iris Mae Montgomery, all preceded her in death.<br /> Visitation and funeral services will be on Friday, Nov. 27, 2020, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.<br /> Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time.&nbsp; Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Kathleen Moran officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow in James Cemetery near Scopus.<br /> &nbsp;</p>

Jane Leona Lema, 88, of Jackson, Mo., formerly of Scopus, Mo., died Nov. 23, 2020, at the Monticello House in Jackson.  Born on Nov. 15, 1932, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Harold B. and Catherine Savin Carter.  She married Edward Joseph Lema on May 31, 1952, in Milwaukee, Wis.  She and Ed lived in Pennsylvania, Utah, Illinois, Mississippi, and Missouri while he worked as an explosives engineer.  He predeceased her on Jan. 10, 2009
