Mrs. Annie Laurie Newman, age 79, departed this life on November 23, 2020, at the Huntsville Manor Rehabilitation Center. Born December 15, 1940, in Depoy, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Foster Earl Brewer and Verona Mary Short Brewer. She was a homemaker and a member of the Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Len Henry Newman; brothers, Carroll Larkins Brewer, Foster Earl Brewer, Jr., and Courtland Thomas Brewer; sisters, Margrette Ree Bohan and Verona Edna Green. She is survived by her children, John Daniel Newman and wife Janet, Rebecca Ann Murdock and husband Steve, and Michael Henry Newman and wife Barbara; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Henrietta Emmaline Adcock and husband Billy; several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Interment will be in the Vernal Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Kentucky. Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida has been entrusted with final arrangements for Mrs. Annie Laurie Newman.
