Glenn Howell, 67, of Calhoun Falls, husband of Donna Hatcher Howell, died peacefully Sunday, March 12, 2017 at his home. He was born in Norfolk, VA to the late John R. and Mary Faircloth Howell. Mr. Howell was a 1971 graduate of Belmont Abbey College where he played basketball. He served six years in the Army reserves and retired after 30 dedicated years with Michelin Tire Corporation in Anderson, SC. Mr. Howell was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Calhoun Falls where he was a member of the J.C. Burton Sunday School Class. He served as secretary of the Calhoun Falls Lions Club for 13 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Duwell. Mr. Howell is survived by his wife of 19 years Donna H. Howell of the home; four children, Heather Grant (Randall) of Belton, SC, Heidi Epps (Tim) of Belton, SC, Scott Grier (Joanna) of Donalds, SC and Michele Rollins (Jeff) of Saluda, SC; two brothers, John Howell, Jr. of Kershaw, SC and Jimmy Howell of Clemson, SC; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Northside Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike McMinn officiating. Burial will follow in the Mason Memorial Cemetery in Saluda, SC.
