Lloyd Hayden Jones, 88, of Greenwood, passed away on November 23, 2020. He was born on January 13,1932 in Shoals, IN to Frank and May Dietrick Jones. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines during the Korean War. He was a member of the F.O.P. and enjoyed coin collecting. He was employed with the IMPD as Sergeant and retired after 28 years as a detective in the Burglary and Larceny division. He then worked with Chase Bank for 10 years in security.
Survivors include his children, Deborah Browning, Sandy (Tom) McKnight, Becky (David) Passmore, Eric Bodenheimer and Jeff (Audrey) Jones; grandchildren; Greg Browning, Justin Jones, Chad Foster, Justin Boyd, Matthew Hamilton, Martin Boyd, Kurtis Schnepp, Kara Jones, Desiree Jones, Haylee Boyd, Nick Jones, Steven Moffatt and Sawyer Moffatt; 14 great grand children; brother of Jackson Jones; PID by his wives, Norma M. Jones and Gwendolyn Jones, and his siblings Helen Brown, Jean Chestnut, Floyd Jones, Leo Jones and Olive Wininger.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 27, 2020 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135, followed by the service at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Police Protective Fund or the Wounded Warriors.
