<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Vern Eugene Spencer, 74, Nevada, MO passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO following an illness of several weeks.&nbsp; Vern was born October 13, 1946 in Nevada, MO to Vern E. and Marjorie J. (Baker) Spencer. &nbsp;He married Donna Sue McReynolds on February 5, 1965 and she preceded him in death on May 6, 2017.&nbsp; Vern was later married to Tracy N. Morton on October 6, 2018 and she survives of the home.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Vern was raised in Nevada and worked in Construction most of his life.&nbsp; He also worked for 3M in Nevada for 17 years, Nevada Regional Medical Center for many years, and was also a Police Officer in Nevada for a time. &nbsp;Vern loved gardening, cooking, playing cards, telling stories, and playing Santa for children at Christmas time.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Survivors include his children, Michael Spencer of Nevada, Diana Spencer (Laverne Scotten), Nevada, Robert Spencer (Susan), Belton, TX, step children, Carolyn Morton, Compton Junction, Kaitlyn Morton, Nevada, Wesley Seeley, Nevada, Charles Morton, Iowa,&nbsp; grandchildren, Meghan Spencer, Kaleb Alexander, Ashley Richards, Abigail Spencer, Jesse Spencer, Victoria Spencer, Carrie Spencer, Owen Spencer, Blake Tripp, Brandon Tripp, Brooke Tripp, Bailee Foster, Daxton Frascini, Kayden Good, Joseph Seeley; brother, John Spencer, Sheldon, and a sister, Melba Hogan of Nevada; and numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.&nbsp; &nbsp;He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Tammy Sue Spencer, grandchildren, Aimee Spencer, Elena &amp; Matias Miranda, Gracie Spencer, and Colton Spencer.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at the Click Cemetery in Nevada with Bro. Jerry Pyle officiating. Friends may call from Monday until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Ferry Funeral Home.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Memorials are suggested in his memory to Click Cemetery c/o Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.</p>

      Vern Eugene Spencer, 74, Nevada, MO passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO following an illness of several weeks.  Vern was born October 13, 1946 in Nevada, MO to Vern E. and Marjorie J. (Baker) Spencer.  He married Donna Sue McReynolds on February 5, 1965 and she preceded him in death on May 6, 2017.  Vern was later married to Tracy N. Morton on October 6, 2018 and she survives of the home.
