Ronald Wayne Sparks Obituary

Ronald "Wayne" Sparks, 57, of Hazel Green, passed away on Friday.

Wayne was a veteran of the United States Navy,  a Christian and part of Flint River Baptist Church.   He was soft-hearted and easily manipulated by his four year old grandson, and he loved giving flowers to his wife, Lisa. He was a hard worker and took pride in his well-maintained yard, loved Alabama football, and made the most unsweet sweet tea ever.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Viola & Dillon Sparks, Arnie & John Neeley;  His brother, Terry Sparks;  His sisters: Connie Johnson and Lisa Maples.

Surviving family members include his wife, Lisa Sparks;   His children: Courtney (Jon) Hall,  Nicole Sparks, and Conner Sparks;  His grandson, Jonathon "LJ" Hall;  His parents,  Kenneth & Dorothy Sparks.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11am at the funeral home with Dr. Steve Bell officiating.  Burial will follow the service and will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Casket bearers will be Jon Hall, Mike Brooks, Adam Brooks, Eric Maples, Jimmy Maples, and Allen Vickers.

Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
