Annie Shao-King Lee Obituary

It was on December 16th, 1936 when Annie Shaoking Lee was born in Canton, Kwangtung Province, China.  She was raised in Hong Kong and her adventure began when she immigrated to Canada in 1959 to be married.  Annie lived in many cities, Calgary, Pine Point, Uranium City but finally made Enderby her home.  She worked hard at the Enderby hospital for 27 years to provide for her children.  Our mom was exceptional at knitting and crocheting.  She enjoyed cooking and loved to garden.  She loved to entertain, play cards, dancing, attending church, her dogs and spending time with her family.  She also loved to travel and was able to see so much of the world.  There was a trip to Hawaii to see her son get married, a visit to Japan with her grandson, and her final trip was in 2016 to attend her other grandson’s wedding.  She leaves behind her four children, Dwayne (Miko), Lorraine, Nancy (Bob), Angela (Gary), her grandchildren Christopher (Ashley), Bryce (Kaylea) and Christine (James).  She was also blessed to meet her Great Grandchildren Emma and Finn.

In her last days, she was surrounded by her children and was not alone when she passed away early on Remembrance Day.  She will be greatly missed and remembered always for the sacrifices she made for her children.  We would like to thank all the Cottage 3 caregivers at the Hillside Village for the wonderful care they gave to our mother for the past two and half years.  In lieu of flowers a donation in Annie’s memory to the SPCA.
