With heavy hearts, the family of Helen Michaylow announce her passing on the morning of November 19, 2020, at the Moog and Friends Hospice after a lengthy and admirable battle with lung cancer. She was born in Fisher Branch Manitoba on June 14, 1932, to Michael and Annie Semeniuk. She spent the majority of her life in Winnipeg, MB before moving to Penticton, BC in 2006, where she lived for the remainder of her life. Helen was the perfect combination of strength and stubbornness. She lived with a zest for life and put a smile on the faces of those who got the pleasure of meeting her with her dirty jokes and humorous personality. She was always the life of the party and carried herself with supreme confidence; never backing down to anyone or anything, right up until her final breath. Helen is predeceased by three late husbands (John, Mike, and Wesley) and her son Gregory Dubowski. Helen leaves behind her daughter, caregiver and love of her life, Debbie, son-in-law Ed, grandson Richard, and granddaughter Tara; all of whom were with her in her final days. She also leaves behind many other loved family members and friends to who she was very grateful for. The family would like to thank all the amazing nurses at Moog and Friends Hospice, Dr. Paisley, and Dr. Bannerman for the care that Helen received during her final days. We are forever grateful for the way you treated our beautiful Mother and Baba. A Ceremony of Life will be held to honor Helen Michaylow at a later date.
