Ethelmae (Deuel) Boyle Obituary

WARWICK- Ethelmae (Deuel) Boyle, age 93, formerly of Helen Avenue, died on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Sunny View Nursing Home, where she resided for several years. Married on May 2, 1951 to Donald W. Boyle, they celebrated 65 years of marriage before he passed away in 2016. Born in Malone, NY, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Jennie (Stanley) Deuel. She attended The Franklin Academy in Malone, NY, graduating in 1944 with highest honors in Business, followed by The Adirondeck School of Commerce, where she also graduated with highest honors. During her time at The Adirondeck School of Commerce, she became second Vice President of the senior class and Secretary of the ASC Cadet Corps. She was employed for many years as a secretary at General Motors and more recently employed as an Office Manager by Alan Sied Advertising for 5 years. Ethelmae and Don were devoted members of Greenwood Community Church Presbyterian in Warwick for many years. She was a talented piano player and an avid reader. She also enjoyed gardening, baking, and building puzzles. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed deeply. Ethelmae was the mother of four children: Douglas A. Boyle and his partner Jennifer Leonetti of Trumbull, CT and Deborah A. Fleet and her husband Bary R. Fleet of Warwick, RI, the late William Ernest Boyle, and the late Kenneth Stuart Boyle. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Douglas A. Boyle, Jr., Christina Boyle, and James Boyle. She is predeceased by her sister: Francis Seaman and her late husband Howard Seaman, Sr. Due to the current restrictions, burial will be private in Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ethelmae’s memory can be made to: Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
