It is with sadness the family of Marion Ruth Brewer, age 86, wife of the late Gordon C. Brewer of Midland, NB, announces her death which occurred at the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex, NB, on June 22, 2016. She was born in Hampton, NB, a daughter of the late Harry and Mabel (Carson) Hendricks. Ruth is survived by her daughter Pat and Paul Gray of Midland; grandsons Tony and Linda Gray of Midland, and Troy and Cheri Gray of Sussex; granddaughters Kathy and Greg Chase of Saint John, and Angela and Pat Dallon of Saint John; 12 great grandchildren Emily, Zach, Jacob, Nick, Katey, Christin, Madison, Brea, Taylor, Reilly, Benjamin and Abigail;and one great-great grandchild Nova; sisters Betty and Fred Prince of Lower Norton and Elsie White of Cobble Hill, BC; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband James Hoyt; daughter Nancy Dunlop; brother-in-law Jim White. She is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre, (506-839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB with visiting on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service, conducted by Alden Crain will be held from Midland Baptist Church at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, June 25, 2016. Interment will take place in Midland Cemetery. Donations in memory of Ruth may be made to the the Kiwanis Nursing Home or to the memorial of the donor’s choice.
